Doing It For You

#Challenges, #MentorSessions, Me, Thank You, Uncategorized

Hi There

I do not want to start sounding repetitive. But YOU need to be your first focus. Now if you are like me. You’ll probably cringe at hearing that and a picture of a narcissistic, entitled, spoiled etc. person creeps in to your mind. AND YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE ANYWHERE NEAR THAT!! Now, now. Calm down. Take a deep breath. Listen…

Putting yourself first is not ANYWHERE near being like the above mentioned. In fact the above mentioned want you to believe that so that you will be easy manipulated by them. Why? Because if you put yourself first you know your value. You add towards that value by putting work into yourself. Like any other project. The more aspects, more time, more experience and expertise. The more expensive and time consuming the project. This is why taking time to evolve and really building yourself up in all aspects of being human is SOOO important. Because it adds value to all the environments you are involved in.

That is what I am talking about. Taking care of you so that you can take care and supply guidance wherever you are! DOing it for YOU to add value wherever YOU find YOURSELF.

Not being narcissistic, spoiled, entitled etcetera. Just understanding that you have value and to maintain and add to it you need to do things for YOU. Sometimes put YOUR needs first.

You cannot pour from a empty cup.

Being My Own Worst Enemy

Hi There

Do you ever think that maybe you are not where you want to be because YOU are in your own way in some shape or form? Why is it easy to look for extrinsic causes than intrinsic? Is it really just me that feels like this?

I am my own enemy! Sometimes I am not even aware that I am. But it amazes me that I am still in my own way. It just reaffirms to me that we need to do introspection as much as possible. We change and our environment has impacts on us even if we are not immediately aware of it. This is not a bad thing… But I do think it is a something we to not place enough importance on.

We can not change what we do not know. Thus we should investigate ourselves regularly and KNOW what WE WANT, WHY WE WANT IT and WHO WE ARE. Because the reasons change and we change and what we want change.

Today, I needed to take responsibility for being in my own way, for being my own worst enemy without really consciously knowing it. I made excuses and I lost my passion. I almost gave my self a fatal wound!

I am the only one who can account for my life and what I have and had done with it. ME, MYSELF and I. I would rather be my own cheerleader, champion, best friend and motivator than keeping myself down without even knowing it or knowing why.

I am changing this today. I need some introspection and changing my enemy to my greatest Ally!!

Evolving ~ Learning, Change, Accepting

Hi There

When I talk about evolving usually there is a negative connotation or undertone. I want to apologize for that, because it is not a negative thing at all!

Evolving is about change. Change needs action to achieve. Action needs thought, thought needs consciousness. You can not change what you do not know. This is the beauty of this journey. We are scared of change because sometimes it is the unknown that the change will bring us. Or it is the fact that we need to confront certain traits that we are not willing to face.

To be honest evolving has been amazing. I feel like I am getting to know the real me. The me that I have not understood or suppressed at certain times out of fear of rejection and not being good enough. You know what? I am good enough for me. I see myself in a different light. I can actually face myself and not be mean. This is what #2018Evolve has meant to me and it is not the end of the journey.

Evolving means growing and expanding on yourself in all aspects of our being. I have said that it comes with growing pains, and that it sucks, sometimes. But it has this adventurous, beauty in it. What you learn and experience while evolving is empowering.

I want to encourage you to evolve. To start a relationship with yourself, to understand and identify your weaknesses and accept your humanness!

Unpacking The Box

#MentorSessions, Important Stuff, Serious Stuff, Uncategorized, What I Do

Hi There

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

About three weeks ago my Mentor gave me some homework… And you know we all love homework… Usually I do actually love doing the tasks assigned to me. I love to excel at them and show that I have learned something and value it. But this task I dreaded and felt very uncomfortable. I had to unpack my box.

This means to exam yourself and basically get to know the raw unfiltered YOU. What you hide from the rest of the world and in most cases even yourself. Having to admit something to others is one of the toughest things we as humans do, but admitting something to yourself seems to be near impossible. I said NEAR impossible, not impossible. Usually we look and exam all the outside factors, before we even come close to ourselves, sometimes we never even reach the root cause of our mishaps, or mistakes. Because we do not want to dig deep into yourselves and admit that things went wrong because deep down we have an insecurity and it reaches through to every decision we make and that is why we made the mistake in the first place. Some will never know the “why” behind their action because they are too afraid to unpack the box and dig for the root causes of their behavior.

Sometimes we need to know why we behave the way we do. Because it does affect EVERY aspect of our being, if we admit it or not.

So take time and unpack some boxes this week. Let me know how it goes. Believe me it is not easy, but so empowering and freeing, like all things good!!

Good luck!
